Quizlet’s newer spaced-repetition page adds an important qualification. It says spaced repetition switches on automatically for flashcard sets with 100 or more terms and asks learners to rate cards as Repeat, Hard, Okay, or Easy. It also creates more ways to overconfigure the system.

Cross-device use depends on synchronizing carefully. Anki’s manual explains how AnkiWeb merges normal changes, handles media, and sometimes requires a one-way upload or download when collections diverge. A learner who wants a zero-maintenance study app may see that as friction rather than power.
